A type design program conceived for creatives like you, that want to take their first steps into font making.Letter&Co. Is a 2 weeks full time program that takes place in Berlin between 17 July and 2 August, 2020. Our approach combines traditional letter drawing, lettering and calligraphy techniques, with modern software, providing attendees with a solid theoretical basis and practical tools to create their own display font.

The schedule includes workshops and critique sessions with international specialists and guest lectures, that will assist the attendees throughout the process. Full time sessions, access to an own studio space for the group, with a total of 100 hours of instruction.The program meets every week day throughout the two weeks from 3 to 19 of July.

Workshops, museum and library visits, and field trips might take place during weekends. Classes meet from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm in 2 and 3-hour sessions, with the exception of the workshops, that may require a different schedule.
The program provides a total of 100 in-class hours.Additionally, students will be provided with guided visits to local museums, libraries and type walks to discover the fascinating history of type and get inspiration.
